Crescent to sponsor health-related public service announcements.

Beginning on January 2nd 2006, Crescent began sponsoring a series of public service announcements on regional AM radio stations. The series, called "Spotlight on Health" features a different one-minute health-related informational message every Monday through Thursday. Each message is broadcast immediately after news bulletins at 8:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm on WWNC(570AM), and after weather forecasts at 10:30am, 1:30pm and 4:30pm on WPEK (880AM).

Most of the announcements will be made by Crescent's Medical Director, Bob Peterson, MD and will address topics such as safe weight loss strategies and living with diabetes. They will also provide interesting information about common healthcare myths and explain some diseases and conditions that you may have heard of but not understand.

Each announcement, along with related information, is published here on the website. We encourage you to use them free of charge in your company/organization newsletters or other publications. All we ask is that you credit Crescent PPO as the source.
