Spotlight on Health Expands to Waynesville (Asheville) - Crescent PPO and Clear Channel Communication will begin broadcasting the highly successful "Spotlight on Health" radio public service announcements on 1400AM The Peak beginning in July. The one-minute messages will be broadcast immediately after the news bulletins at 8:00am and 5:00pm every Monday through Friday. The messages are sponsored by Crescent PPO and feature the voice of the company's Medical Director, Bob Peterson, MD. A locally well-known and respected OB/GYN specialist with more than 22 years of experience in private practice, Dr. Peterson delivers a different Spotlight on Health message each day in simple language, with a voice perfectly suited to radio. "Education is such a vital part of any health management program, and this is an ideal way to deliver useful information to people in the Waynesville area" he says. Crescent's CEO, Myrna Harvey is a major supporter of the Spotlight on Health messages. "We're delighted with the results we've seen from using these messages to spread useful health-related information in the Asheville area," she commented.
