Joe Damore
Elected to Board of Trustees
(Asheville)
- Dr. Henry Meinecke, the Chairman of Crescent Preferred
Provider Organization's Board of Trustees has announced the election
to the Board of Trustees of Joseph F. Damore, President and
CEO of Mission Health System.
"Joe" Damore
joined Mission in December 2004 following fourteen years as President
and CEO of Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Michigan. As a strong
believer in collaborative relationships, his appointment to Crescent's
Board of Trustees is particularly important at a time when the region's
healthcare delivery system faces challenges that can only be addressed
by encouraging employers, physicians and hospitals to work together.
Crescent is
the region's largest preferred provider organization and the Board
of Trustees is the governing body, made up of ten practicing physicians,
five hospital representatives and three employer representatives.
"Joe brings a wealth of healthcare delivery experience and depth
of knowledge that will further strengthen our company's role in
providing quality healthcare services," commented Crescent's CEO
Myrna Harvey. "We have worked with Joe for some time and
I'm excited about him joining the Crescent leadership team."
Damore
replaces former Mission COO David Spillers as a hospital
representative on the Crescent Board of Trustees.
