Crescent Wins Small Business of the Month Award

Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce announced last week that Crescent PPO has been awarded their prestigious Small Business of the Month award for February 2007. The award, sponsored by FASTSIGNS, is presented by the Chamber's Board of Directors to a small company selected by an independent committee, based on the following criteria:

• Current Chamber member
• Apparent solid financial base
• Considered successful by peers
• Expanding number of employees
• Sales growth and/or profit growth
• Public service contribution
• In business a minimum of one year

"This is a wonderful reflection of the hard work and dedication of every member of the Crescent team," commented CEO, Myrna Harvey. A client satisfaction survey conducted in December showed Crescent meeting or exceeding clients' expectations an amazing 97% of the time. "Some clients marked us down for items things over which we have no direct control so if you take those out of the equation, we had a perfect score," said Pat Hensley, the company's VP, Client Services. "Despite that, we're implementing client service improvements such as a new phone system and a dedicated Spanish-language helpline. We still think we can do better."
