The change will be effective immediately and is designed to more accurately reflect the broad scope of the company's fully integrated employer health plan services. “The provider network is still a vital part of our business, but the name Crescent Preferred Provider Organization no longer accurately reflects the scope of services we offer,” commented company CEO, Myrna Harris. “Since we added claims administration, health management, pharmacy benefit management, data analytics, and health risk assessments, we have become a fully-integrated solutions provider. We needed a name that reflects what we have to offer.” Crescent will retain the familiar logo, and the company's legal name will remain Crescent Preferred Provider Organization, Inc., but will now be doing business under the new name Crescent Health Solutions.
