Benchmarking Survey
With the rising
cost of healthcare and dramatic changes in benefits programs over
the past few years, many companies have lost track of where they
stand in the marketplace. Employers want to know if their benefit
program is competitive and what other employers are doing in response
to the costs. At the same time, many companies have become frustrated
with the broad brush approach that some national surveys use.
This is why,
for the third year Scott Insurance is using the survey engine developed
by a nationally recognized actuarial firm, to bring a comprehensive
benchmarking survey to our specific marketplace. We have a special
opportunity to provide meaningful information on North Carolina
benchmarks to mid-market employers (50 employees and above) in the
region and directly compare the results to both regional and national
data.

The survey
is easy to use, with drop down menus, descriptions, etc. It takes
20-30 minutes to complete and the format allows users to actually
submit data then return to the survey at a later date. Participants
can also print out the survey, gather the data, then complete it
online or fax it directly to the survey administrator. All responses
are confidential and there is no cost to participate. Respondents
receive a customized high level benchmarking summary comparing key
responses to regional data. Scott Insurance will also conduct a
seminar to deliver the larger scale regional and national results.
The online
survey must be completed by September 5th, 2007.
To help Crescent's
Employer Advisory Council (EAC) members to better understand the
impact of this survey, Kathy Woollum from Scott Benefit Services
will present information at the EAC meeting on August 28, 2007.
